Clothes Closet

Can you help during weekday mornings in our Clothes Closet? Clothes Closet volunteers must be able to make a commitment of at least once a month for three consecutive months. Spanish speaking skills preferred, but not required.

Food Pick Up

Are you able to help pick up food for our Food Pantry twice a month or weekly? You must be comfortable to lift 20+ lbs and have an SUV, truck or vehicle large enough to transport the food.

Events

Do you like planning or working events? Can you bring in food and beverage sponsors? Can you help expand the guest list?

Photographer

Do you have an eye for taking pictures that capture emotions and story?

Community Garden Upkeep/Maintenance

Do you want to help us keep the Manos Love Garden well-kept and maintained?

Education Program Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one shift per week for the entire semester (2 months for computers, 4 months for all other classes). Most new opportunities begin in January, May, and August of each year. Volunteer opportunities in the computer literacy program are available in March and October.

Individuals seeking practicum hours for CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or TESL certifications must be able to commit for an entire semester.

English as a Second Language: Tutor, Teaching Assistant, Participant in Practicum Class (for new teachers)
Computer Literacy: Teacher, Teaching Assistant
Citizenship: Teacher, Tutor
Adult Basic Literacy in Spanish: Tutor (must be fluent in Spanish)
Office Assistant
